Line & Wrinkle Treatments

As we get older the elasticity of our skin decreases and does not spring back like it used to. This can cause lines and creases to become ingrained, leaving us looking tired.

Botox® relaxes the muscles that cause this – giving us a softer, rejuvenated appearance. It was first used in 1980 as a treatment for eye ticks, twitching, uncontrolled blinking and the lazy eye. A purified protein derived from a bacteria which, when used in a highly controlled manner, allows the facial muscles to relax.

Safely used cosmetically for over 20 years, Botox® is administered in very minute amounts – carefully and gently injected into specific muscles in the face using a micro needle.

Dermal Fillers

Dermal fillers are made from hyaluronic acid (HA) which is actually a naturally occurring component of the skin. However, its production decreases with age.

HA has the remarkable ability to absorb more than 10 times its weight in water, allowing it to add volume and create a naturally lifted appearance.

Dermal Filler Treatment carefully pads out any permanent grooves in the face, plumping the skin and giving it a fuller, smoother and fresher appearance.

PRP For Hair Loss

PRP (Platelet-Rich Plasma) therapy for hair loss involves injecting concentrated platelets directly into the scalp, targeting hair follicles with growth factors and healing proteins.

This process stimulates hair follicles, promoting growth and enhancing the hair’s overall health. The growth factors in PRP increase blood flow to the hair follicles, delivering essential nutrients that lead to thicker, stronger, and healthier hair.

PRP therapy can also slow down or stop hair loss by revitalising inactive or shrunken hair follicles, resulting in a fuller, more voluminous head of hair.

Polynucleotides

Polynucleotide (PN) skin boosters contain natural DNA fragments derived from Salmon or Trout, which rejuvenate the skin at a cellular level. They excel at boosting fibroblast production and inducing deep tissue repair processes.

PN boosters promote collagen synthesis, improve skin elasticity, and enhance overall skin quality – an excellent choice for those looking to reverse the signs of aging and achieve a luminous complexion. Although it may take time to see the full results, PN boosters provide longer-lasting benefits.

Migraine Relief

Not just for cosmetic use, Botox has also been proven to be an effective treatment for chronic migraine headaches. If you suffer from migraines, Botox injections can provide relief by preventing the headaches before they even start.

Treatment works by blocking the release of certain chemicals involved in pain transmission, effectively reducing the activation of pain networks in the brain. When injected into specific areas around the head and neck, Botox helps to prevent migraines by reducing muscle tension and relaxing the muscles that contribute to headache pain.

TMJ Treatment
(Teeth Grinding)

Muscle relaxant injections offer an effective treatment for temporomandibular joint (TMJ) disorder, providing relief from the pain and discomfort associated with jaw clenching and teeth grinding.

By injecting the relaxant into the affected jaw muscles it helps to relax them, reducing tension and alleviating symptoms such as jaw pain, headaches, and facial pain. The procedure is quick, minimally invasive, and typically well-tolerated, with most patients experiencing significant improvement in their TMJ symptoms.

Treatment can enhance your quality of life by reducing pain and preventing further damage to the jaw joint.

Hyperhydrosis treatment

If you struggle with hyperhidrosis, or excessive sweating, muscle relaxant injections offer a highly effective solution. This condition can significantly impact your daily life and confidence, but these simple injections can provide relief by targeting and reducing excessive sweating.

The treatment works by blocking the nerves responsible for activating sweat glands, temporarily inhibiting the chemical signals that trigger sweat production. Administered as a series of small injections into the affected areas – such as underarms, hands, feet, or face – the procedure is quick, typically taking 10 to 30 minutes, with most patients experiencing minimal discomfort.

My approach

I believe that the most important part of any cosmetic treatment is the consultation, examining the face as a whole. I always carry out a comprehensive assessment, not only of any lines or wrinkles which can make the face look tired, but of the complexion itself which is at the very heart of skin health.

Together with my patient, I design a treatment and management plan tailored to any specific needs and desired results. I find our follow up appointment just as vital – where we can critically assess the effects of our treatments, introducing any tweaks if necessary and optimising our future techniques.
